Plugin: Subscribe to Comments
You come to an interesting post, leave a comment and off you go to another post. Well, that’s good as you are putting the effort of making blogsphere an interesting place to be. Out of curiosity, you came back to the same post hoping for more interactions from other fellow bloggers. Is that how it suppose to work?
Like it or not, there are various types of readers we have to deal with. Some just love to drop by but there are others who may find your article very useful and wish to be updated regularly. Unlike forums, the sad part of WordPress is that it doesn’t come with recent comments notification functionality. Here comes “Subscribe to Comments“, a plugin by Mark Jaquith that make your blog behaves like forums.
Subscribe to Comments is a plugin that allows commenters on your blog to check a box before commenting and get e-mail notification of further comments. It is one of the most popular WordPress plugins out there for the simple reason that it helps foster a community around your blog by encouraging commenters to come back and stay engaged in the dialog.
This plugin allows your readers receive further comments update about certain post entry via email. The installation is very smooth. Everything is nicely configured. The plugin automatically creates the loop after comment form for each post. There are of course some options you may want to tweak to reflect your blog though. By default, the settings are sufficient for daily use.
True to its name, by adding this feature to your blog not only improves the interaction with your visitors but also promote the conversation. Highly recommended.
