Just Simple

While browsing for free themes, I found a neat 2-column theme released by YGoSearch. It uses bright red color as the background, aching my eyes to the limit. Since the background color can be easily changed via the stylesheet, I just pretend the color isn’t there.

What so special about this theme? In general, I love the structure. It is simple and well-organised. The theme separates the column via light blue-grey color, adding contrast element yet serves the purpose. I noticed the theme integrates two plugins that are “Recent Comments” and “Recent Entries”. In fact, the designer has coded the plugins, awaiting to be activated.

The files are easy to work with. I found the coding is simple and easy to understand. However, since I’m not an expert in PHP, I can’t comment more. Personally, I would recommend you to change the header though. It doesn’t look very neat.

I ran a simple check on the html and the stylesheet of the demo page. Voila! 70 errors on it! W3C also highlighted 1 error on the stylesheet which I believe, due to typing error. All you have to do is to specify the correct dimension of the #commentform #submit.

For those who have the coding knowledge, feel free to rectify this error. Overall, this is a nice theme.
