Are You the Victim of Content Theft?
It is quite common these days. Whether you like it or not, you might be the victim of content theft, copyright infringements, bandwidth theft, and/or scraper blogs that steals your feeds. Annoyed you are but how are you going to deal with it?
I am one of the victim, thus I know how it feels. Kyle Eslick through his blog shared the same fate except that his case was more complicated–the content, the design. In other words, his entire blog was replicated.
Obviously this not only goes well beyond the syndicated blogs that steal content or at least post excerpts, but it even goes well beyond stealing a couple of our posts. In this situation, this blogger is attempting to replicate the entire identity of this website.
Another famous blogger, Daniel Scocco also faced the same thing except that only his copyright posts were duplicated.
At one point I found a guy that had copied my “43 Web Design Mistakes You Should Avoid” integrally. He did mention that the article was coming from Daily Blog Tips, but as you probably know, merely crediting the author does not give one the right to republish the material.
These two posts are worth your reading. Check them out.
